Frequently Asked Questions:

  • If I suspect I have or was exposed to COVID-19, what is the first step?
    • Call us or send a portal message to Dr. Forbes (unless you are short of breath, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room).
  • Can I have my physical now?
    • Only if you have traditional Medicare and choose to do this by phone or video conference.
  • What do I do if I have another illness not related to COVID-19?
    • Depending on the symptoms, we will guide you to the best solution (telehealth, drive-up visit, or in the office).
  • How will I be billed?
    • Each insurance company determines that, but many are waiving the copay for any services related to the pandemic (from late March to the end of April and perhaps longer).
  • What if I am due for a routine follow-up visit for a chronic condition such as diabetes or depression?
    • We will offer telehealth visits when appropriate, and in some cases, you may be required to be seen in the comfort of your own vehicle in our parking lot. There will be situations when we can extend your refills until the stay at home order is lifted.
  • Has Dr. Forbes seen patients with COVID-19 yet?
    • As of 3/31/2020, none of our patients have tested positive. We will update this if that happens.
  • Have the office hours changed?
    • We will close at 5pm on Mondays during the pandemic.
